FGD offer a full range of IR3 and UVIR flame detectors for all types of fires including hydrocarbon-based fuel and gas fires, hydroxyl and hydrogen fires, metal and inorganic fires and high-speed explosion detection. With optional integral video recording and a wide range of accessories including flame simulator test lamps, air shields and weather covers, FGD offers the best flame detection solutions.

Flame Detectors

The FlameSpec range of triple IR (IR3) and UV IR flame detectors are faster in detection time and perform over longer distances while maintaining and improving on false alarm immunity. They are optimized to perform in adverse weather conditions such as rain, fog, sunlight, dust smoke etc. The optional in-built High Definition (HD) video camera allows for live video streaming of the area being protected. HD recordings of all alarm events can be downloaded from the HD version detectors for assistance with post incident investigations.

FLS-X5 Detector for Hi-Speed Detection

The FlameSpec ASx5 range flame detectors have been optimised to provide extra-fast detection of fires in hi‑speed production processes. The detector is designed to meet the NFPA33 standard which requires the detector to alarm on an event in less than 0-5secs. Performance tested and approved, the FLS ASx5 range is available in UVIR, IR3 and IR3-H2 configurations. Typical applications include: Automotive Spray Booths; High speed printing and coating; Fast moving conveyors and trains.

FLS IR3 (without HD camera)

Triple IR (IR3) Flame Detector with HD video detects hydrocarbon fuel and gas fires at long distances and provides the highest immunity to false alarms with its triple spectrum design. The unmatched detection times and distances are:

FlameSpec UVIR


FLS UVIR (without HD camera)

A UV and IR detector, comprising an IR sensor that operates at a wavelength of 2.7 μm and a solar blind UV sensor, the FLS UVIR-HD detects hydrocarbon-based fuel and gas fires, hydroxyl and hydrogen fires, as well as metal and inorganic fires. The UV sensor has a special logic circuit that prevents false alarms from solar radiation.

  •  5ms for fast burst of explosion
  • 1.5s for 1 ft2 (0.1m2) pan fire at 0–50 ft. (0–15m)
  • Up to 3s for 1 ft2 (0.1m2) pan fire at 50–100 ft. (15–30m)

FLS IR3-H2 (without HD camera)

Detects “invisible” hydrogen (H2) gas fires at long distances and provides the highest immunity to false alarms with its triple spectrum design. A special filter in front of the HD camera allows you to see the “invisible” fire.

The FLS IR3-H2-HD is fast, responding in:

  • 1.5s for 32” (0.8m) hydrogen fire at 0–66 ft. (0–20m)

Industrial Line

With its Industrial line of gas detectors and control panels, Sensitron meets the most different industrial applications for both light and heavy industrial.
The SMART 3G series detectors are also used in the paper, food and beverage and cosmetics industries.
The SMART S series detectors are used in harsher and more aggressive environments such as the oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Marine Line

With the Marine line, Sensitron develops a gas detection system certified by Lloyd’s Register according to MED/3.54. MULTISCAN++MED control panels and SMART S-MS MED detectors meet the EMC and environmental requirements of the marine sector.
MULTISCAN++MED control panels are also ATEX-certified and meet SIL2 functional requirements.
The SMART S-MS MED detector is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the marine environment. It is equipped with a catalytic sensor or infrared sensor to detect flammable gases. The detector is also compliant to SIL 2 Hardware, SIL 3 Software and certified ATEX for Zone 1 with marking II2G Ex db IIC T5 Gb.

Park System Line

With the Park System line, Sensitron presents two gas detection systems.
The standard version is joined by systems certified according to the European standard EN 50545-1 for car parks.
The European standard aims to harmonize gas detection systems protecting car parks for all member countries.
Sensitron ensures full compliance, with the system consisting of the MULTISCAN ++ Park control panels and SMART P gas detectors.

Building & HVAC-R Line

The Building & HVAC-R line offers solutions for residential environments such as hotels, schools, hospitals, for machinery and engine rooms, and for large industrial environments such as gas storage depots and refrigeration plants.
The gas detectors in this line are designed to the same safety standards used in industrial environments.
This range of gas detectors guarantees professional detection for gases with a high GWP (Global Warming Potential) and follows the standards of the F-gas directive. These instruments detect flammable gases, ammonia, carbon dioxide (CO2) and generally all halogenated gases.

Portables Gas detectors

Building on from the success of our new partnership with Crowcon, we are proud to be launching their portable gas detector range. Crowcon’s portable gas detectors protect against a wide range of industrial gas hazards with both single gas and multi gas monitors available.
